    What you will be doing


    From a testing perspective our QA Leads balance their focus between leadership of the process and being “hands on.”  Because of that, we’re search for talented QA leaders that don’t mind getting their hands dirty.  The right person has a large impact on the organization, as they will truly maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. This is accomplished by creating the overall API test plan and managing quality and test processes on multiple multi-tiered, cross-functional applications.


    The “top six @ 6

    • Leads development and execution of API test plans, QA reviews and test certification
    • Creates API test plans, defines test scenarios, coordinates and schedules testing and reports results and defects
    • Works with QA Test Analysts to provide oversight on API test creation, tool usage and reporting
    • Tracks status on sprints and test runs and reports test progress, including defects
    • Interfaces with multiple businesses and IT groups across the organization and with external partners and vendors
    • Collaborates with cross functional project teams to understand API requirements and solutions and define detailed API test strategies


    What we are searching for

    In addition to being someone that can bring the best out in each team member, our Lead holds deep expertise in API testing and test strategy, meaning they are familiar with the tools required, with experience implementing and using them.  In addition:

    • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Communicates effectively to IT as well as business leadership, customers, vendors and fellow team members
    • Knowledge of the hotel / hospitality industry is beneficial
    • Able to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Strong presentation skills

    We feel the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

    • Experience leading QA programs in mid to large scale companies
    • Strong background in test automation environments that included web, mobile and API
    • Experience in an Agile development and test environment
    • Prior experience using requirements management, test case management and test automation tools
    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, information technology, or related field. Master’s Degree or related experience preferred
    • 5 years of IT QA experience, with previous experience as a QA Lead highly preferred
    • Experience within the following all preferred: Java, REST, WSDL, web services, SOAP, GIT, SwaggerHub, Jira, HP UFT & PC, Selenium, Appium, SOAPUI, Jenkins and Bamboo
