    About the role

    What you will be doing


    The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for all aspects of accounting and system support for the capital assets of G6 Hospitality.


    The “top six @ 6

    • On a monthly basis, prepare various Fixed Asset schedules to include; Fixed Asset Roll Forward, Capital Expenditure Analysis, Mass Additions, and corresponding supporting documentation
    • Analyze records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of journal entries by working in collaboration with Financial Planning, Real Estate, and Development departments
    • Research and provide Management responses to monthly P&L budget variances
      • Set up and track capital projects related to real estate and development, as well as room remodeling and IT capital initiatives


    • In collaboration with the Real Estate and Finance departments prepare capital and depreciation budgets


    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Fixed Asset related accounts


    What we are searching for

    We are recruiting a seasoned Fixed Asset Senior Accountant to work within our Technical Accounting team.  Reporting to the Manager of Technical Accounting, the candidate will utilize their experience and talent to monitor, track, record, and report the Fixed Assets capital spending for an industry leader in the hospitality industry with over 400 owned properties nationwide.  About the person:

    • Demonstrates a high degree of personal responsibility including taking initiative and ownership of work product
    • Ability to think strategically and develop systems, processes and procedures that are simple yet effective with the willingness to be hands on
    • Exhibits proven ability to achieve results and adhere to firm deadlines
    • Outstanding problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to clearly define problems, collect data (primary and secondary), establish facts, draw valid conclusions and influence others to implement recommendations

    We feel the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent                                
    • CPA or advanced degree preferred, but not required
    • 4-6 years of relevant fixed asset accounting experience
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and application of best practices
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other productivity software including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Oracle Financials experience preferred, but not required
    • Due to financial reporting requirements and deadlines, must be available for certain holidays and weekends
    • Experience with Hospitality, Real Estate, or Multi-Unit entities preferred but not required
    • Strong internal and external customer focus
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization
