    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    The Associate Project Manager is responsible for the management of franchise properties.  The APM must have the ability to build relationships with G6 team members, as well as franchise partners.  The APM will play a crucial role in project planning, the PIP process (Property Improvement Plan), product ordering, on site project reviews, and project validation. This position must be able to accurately and timely report construction status, project completions, and opening updates.  This individual must also be able to partner with those responsible for reporting on forecasting, budgeting, planning, and project reporting.

    Responsibilities

    Project Administration

    • Ensure property specific furniture layouts, drawings, specifications are updated and current
    • Review all scopes and project timelines
    • Provide technical expertise, techniques , procedures, systems focused on successful completion of projects

     Project Management

    • Ability to build relationships with Franchisees in order to provide excellent customer service
    • Effectively communicate relevant information to the Director
    • Ability to recognize issues and escalate to the Director or other appropriate personnel
    • Partner with Development, Openings and Operations teams to ensure successful and timely new property openings
    • Provide oversight and advisory services to franchisees for most efficient and effective management of their projects
    • Drive the renovation/construction process to ensure timely completion
    • Analyze product requirements and prepare purchase orders
    • Act as an intermediary with suppliers to coordinate delivery, administer claims and assist with any other issues
    • Give direction on all project related questions, issues ,concerns , extras and clarifications on standards
    • Make field inspections verifying consistency of standards and details, quality, mock up rooms


    Ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time with 25% time in corporate office

    Qualifications

    • 2 + years managing projects. Experience managing construction projects preferred
    • Knowledge of construction and technical methods and procedures preferably in a hotel motel environment
    • Strong understanding of hotel / motel operations preferred
    • Up to 75% travel
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
