Responsible for the managing of general payroll functions including the accurate completion, audit and reporting of payroll data including the G/L Balancing process. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires knowledge and experience to ensure compliance with tax and labor laws. Ensures payroll activities comply with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Responsible for internal and external payroll related reporting and administrations of all payroll related programs are completed accurately, within guidelines and in a timely manner. Provides supervision, directions, training and performance reviews of assigned staff. Development of policies and procedures related to the payroll functions to improve and increase the efficiency of the payroll function, as well as payroll sections budgeting. Assists HRIS with testing, upgrades or implementation. Acts as liaison with HRIS and IT regarding production issues. Manage the Payroll/HR Call Center. Serves as a back to Payroll Tax Accountant.
