This position reports to the Director - Assistant Controller and is responsible for the accurate processing and collection of manual and sub-system interfaced financial information generated monthly within G6 Hospitality. The information is compiled into monthly reports for the field and the quarterly and annual unaudited and audited financial statements. This position supervises a team that is responsible for reporting financial activity relating to leases (capital and operating), debt, miscellaneous cash transactions, workers comp., general liability insurance, group health, P&L support, subsidiary and/or managed companies reporting, census reporting, Ad Hoc reports, special financial projects, month end preliminary and Executive level inquiries, allocation schedules and miscellaneous analysis of general ledger accounts. In addition, the manager is responsible for coordinating with the REDC and FP&A to ensure internal reporting for CapEx is correct.. Primary functions include the monitoring and reporting on the capital spending of fixed assets, cash flow, and budgeting and forecasting of capital as well as depreciation and amortization. The position is involved in the implementation of new systems and or upgrades of existing software that flow into the financial system.

  • Plan, implement, evaluate and improve all aspects of the general accounting function and processes
  • Supervise a staff of accountants, promoting staff development by motivating, meeting training needs, preparing and communicating reviews and disciplinary action if needed
  • Collect, process and analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist other departments with accounting questions to ensure information they contribute supports the integrity of the financials
  • Review of quarterly and annual mandated Government Census form
  • Responsible for semiannual impairment analysis for properties in accordance with GAAP Accounting Standards
  • Researches and prepares valuation technics for properties, assets and intangibles
  • Reviewing monthly Fixed Asset Schedules to ensure accuracy and catch unrecorded entries and issues
  • Responsible for month end Oracle Fixed Asset system close
  • Serve as the liaison between the external auditors and G6 Hospitality
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for various accounts, including depreciation, property leases and insurance
  • Analysis and formulate year end capital accruals
  • Analyze and decipher if an item should be classified as capital based on company capital policy
  • Review and approve all supporting schedules, journal entries and financial analysis prepared by staff for reconciliations, audits, reporting and monthly close, and communicate areas of concern to upper management
  • Maintain in depth understanding of the general ledger module and its interfaces to other systems
  • All other duties as needed or required
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other Team Members
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other Team Members
  • Multi-task and prioritize workload

  • If applicable, ability to travel for meetings with customers, vendors, other Team Members, and/or other business necessities


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
  • Oracle Operating Systems experience preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in full charge accounting, public accounting/auditing experience a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Works well with deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Able to handle multiple projects, multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other productivity software skills
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort working with a senior management team
  • Must be adaptable to a changing environment
  • Due to financial reporting requirements, must be available for certain holidays and weekends
  • Minimum travel is required
