Someone that works effectively with multi-regional responsibility that includes several hundred properties while exercising sound judgment when making critical business decisions and understanding the overall impact of those decisions on the organization. They will serve as the subject matter expert on safety and security to operations and the corporate office and work closely with the legal and risk management departments.
Planning and Execution:
Success equals the proactive identification of areas of exposure with action plans to address the issues. This is accomplished by scheduling property visits as required to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures and maintaining excellent working relationships with local law enforcement and other governmental agencies.
The Director will develop a strategic alliance with operations management in order to create the necessary buy-in and support for safety and security programs and provide input and assistance with development of the department’s annual budget.
People and Performance:
This person will administer the safety and security MIT training program at each scheduled MIT class and provide on-going and remedial training for GM’s and all levels of operations management. Also, they will promote and train on Law Enforcement contact protocol and relationship development
Maintain effective communication with operations management and senior leadership on all relevant safety and security matters, and weekly communication with the department head.
