G6 Hospitality is hiring a Director of Training and Development to focus on program development design and delivery that will build the skills and competencies need to support the company’s business objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent Management, this role oversees our Manager in Training, Franchise GM and Leadership Development training programs. The Director is also responsible for leadership development programs for select leaders ensuring the effective onboarding and continuous pipeline development for our leadership roles while also providing leadership to the team of direct reports.

About the Role



  • Partners with a variety of enterprise leaders to develop and execute our organizational talent strategies, especially as it relates to enterprise organizational initiatives and maximizing operational performance.
  • Provides/models thought leadership in leading, developing and managing learning teams in establishing standards and executing strategy for training in all managerial aspects with emphasis on their professional skills development and execution.
  • Provides small and large group facilitation and training delivery support
  • Takes a hands-on approach to identify applicable curricula and programs for G6 University enterprise-wide leaders and team members.
  • Partners with organizational leaders to assess, develop and implement programs and curriculum strategies to support onboarding, training and development across the Franchise groups.
  • Sign-off on learning implementation efforts, including adherence to budget and cost effectiveness.
  • Leads the execution strategy of key training programs and initiatives, and relates strategy to end-goals tied to performance.
  • Develops and analyzes feedback, assessment and reporting models that relate to the success/effectiveness of training programs.
  • Maintains understanding of core business functions and key initiatives.
  • Identifies training and development gaps related to key business strategies, initiatives and core functions, and partners with training leaders for course and curriculum design, development, delivery, execution and measurement.
  • Develops and manages annual operating budget.
  • Reconciles monthly expenses, monitors departmental expenditures and P & L reports and corrects/amends as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the learning field, or comparable experience in training, learning, or development within a corporate environment.
  • 4+ year’s leadership experience in the area of training, including training strategy and implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory required.
  • Management experience with training strategies delivered in multiple modalities, with emphasis on blended learning approaches and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret business needs and translate into targeted training solutions tied to business objectives.
  • Experience in mentoring trainers in instructional and training curriculum is a plus.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to speak confidently in front of groups up to 500.
  • Strong internal and external customer focus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization.
  • Proven experience in cost containment and budget attainment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and web authoring tools.
