The Strategic Sourcing Manager will collaborate with and sometimes lead teams to develop strategy prioritize topics and execute plans. Some key areas include Operations, Real Estate Design and Construction (REDC) and Marketing. This will typically involve working with a wide breadth of people including senior organizational leaders. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities and making recommendations to address business needs while successfully delivering on key initiatives that can have a broad and meaningful impact to the enterprise. This person is the subject matter expert in assigned categories, collaborating with key internal and external business partners. The incumbent is responsible for setting expectations and developing team member(s) reporting up to this position. The team member should have experience in: sourcing, contracting, negotiating, commodity/category management, supplier relationship management, analysis and understanding business processes inside the department and with related departments. A collaborative win-win approach with stakeholders, customers and suppliers is necessary to accomplish the mission.

  • Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management

  • Develop and implement product strategies leveraging market trends, new products, company direction and competition
  • Identify potential sourcing options and manage eSourcing events including RFP, RFQ, and reverse auctions
  • Negotiate, implement, manage and monitor supplier agreements insuring optimum business terms (e.g. price, quality and service) and when necessary collaborating with internal departments
  • Provide ongoing detailed analysis of respective categories to insure performance, contractual compliance, and value for G6
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships
  • Promote vendors and develop marketing strategies to increase franchise use of contracted vendors
  • Manage planning and direction for contracts; completing timely renewals and amending or terminating contracts as necessary
  • Identify and mitigate current/future risks for G6 Hospitality associated with assigned commodities and suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement of the sourced solution (e.g. product/service, price, quality, process) ensuring scalability and  sustainability per the needs of G6Customer Service and Commodity Management
  •  
  • Develop relationships with franchisees to better understand their needs and connect them with vendor partners
  • Act a liaison between REDC, Operations and vendors
  • Manage and lead product development improving processes working with customers, franchise partners, and vendors
  • Collaborate with operations and vendors to evaluate products; establish guidelines, identify properties, and consolidate results for decision makers
  • Resolve issues by collaboratively creating solutions to problems
  • Identify customer and industry trends
  • Manage information to insure smooth ordering, processing, and invoicingLeadership
  •  
  • Set direct report(s) goals ensuring alignment with department goals and strategy
  • Monitor goals and take corrective action when necessary
  • Set expectations, manage, train, and develop direct reports
  • Manage direct reports providing positive and constructive performance feedback and coaching
  • Models and coaches others to display behaviors that demonstrate engagement and 100% responsibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years direct procurement experience (both Products and Services)
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement processes including analysis of business needs, creating RFPs, contract negotiations, solution implementation, risk mitigation, vendor management, and financial/operational impacts to the business
  • Proven experience implementing and rolling out national solutions within a multi-unit environment
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability (written & verbal) to interact clearly and concisely with senior leaders, customers, vendors, and team members across the enterprise
  • Project management skills, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects
  • Critical and conceptual thinking ability coupled with qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; advanced skills in Excel to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with key stakeholders throughout the enterprise to drive results
