The Franchise Developer is responsible for meeting company goals for Franchise Agreement signings of new Motel 6 & Studio 6 locations throughout the United States.
The Franchise Developer will work closely with both the training department and his/her mentor to understand the brands and their respective business models as well as day-to-day operations of a motel.
In this role the Franchise Developer will be responsible for creating new relationships with potential franchisees while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships.
The position will require travel within the assigned Area of Responsibility as well as to other geographical areas as requested.
The individual selected will be responsible for: collecting data, generating reports, visiting properties, determining viability of properties and/or markets, reviewing contracts, negotiating deals, determining renovation needs and preparing Property Improvement Plan (PIP), closing deals, and collecting documents for contract execution.
The Franchise Developer will work closely with the entire Franchise team and will interact frequently with various departments of the corporate operations team.
The Franchise Developer will report directly to the Vice President Franchise Development. The individual will have full ownership of his/her assigned Area of Responsibility (4 to 8 states).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify franchise prospects:
Ability to effectively take prospects from application to franchise agreement execution:
Prepare franchise projects in FranConnect for review by Franchise Approval Committee for approval:
Report all Projects in the pipeline
Manage Franchise growth
Manage assigned Area of Responsibility (usually 4 to 8 states) by using comprehensive business plan: update business plan for the start of each year
Create efficient working relationships:
Demonstrated ability to work from a home office located in the geographical Area of Responsibility, with approximate 90%
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree - preferred
