The Senior Income Tax Accountant plays a key role in completing federal and state income tax returns for and corporations, partnerships and LLCs. The position also plays an important role in communicating tax information to the management team and partners. The Senior Income Tax Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to gathering information and preparing work papers to support tax return positions, completing quarterly estimated payment calculations, reviewing workpapers and returns, preparing annual report filings, researching US tax issues, supporting International Development by researching and understating tax law in Latin America and India.   • Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Analyze temporary and permanent tax differences for review by senior peers
    • Gather and compile information necessary for tax return support, such as general ledger detail, journal entries and invoices
    • Escalate issue to management when appropriate
  • Prepare and process federal and state corporate, LLC and partnership returns
  • Prepare state quarterly estimated tax calculations
  • Prepare quarterly taxable income forecasts
  • Prepare and process annual report forms for timely filing
  • Research federal and state tax developments and issues as needed
  • Reconcile general ledger income tax accounts
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed
  • Prepare multistate apportionment schedules
  • Maintain tax basis fixed asset reconciliations
  • Track non-resident state withholding payments
  • Assist with state income tax audits
  • Participate in special projects as needed
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
  • Review, as needed, tax returns and supporting calculations


  • Job Requirements:
    • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
    • Read and interpret form instructions and correspondence from tax authorities
    • Communicate effectively, both written and oral
    • Understand and follow instructions from supervisors accurately and timely

    • Work within the appropriate level of independence

  • BA in Accounting is required.
  • CPA is preferred but not required.
  • 4-6 years of experience preparing federal & state corporate, partnership and LLC tax returns.
  • Experience with state non-resident withholding requirements.
  • International tax experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience supervising team members is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Organizational skills
  • Proven Analytical skills
  • OneSource and CCH Research experience preferred but not required
