HCM Project Manager Job Description:

The HCM  Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the newly selected internal HCM System. The position will work with the business and implementation team as the focal point for all tactical deployment decisions and schedules, serving to ensure that projects execute on time and budget for delivery of the selected reservation system of varying complexity and scale. The HCM Project Manager will be the primary communication conduit in their engagement between the sales, implementation team, and end client/customer; combining solid organizational and technical skills with experienced business acumen to guarantee delivery success. 

THIS ROLE is working on a contracted basis for 12-18 months

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Identify and analyze business needs and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to implementation team.   
  • Ensure projects are properly staffed and planned.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with the budget and on-time.
  • Work with client to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe.
  • Handle and track all correspondence between the business and implementation team on project status and additional requirements.
  • Ensure end-users takes advantage of the selected HCM solution.
  • Be a liaison for implementation team when interacting with the development team.
  • Assist in the transition from the implementation team to client services team/support.

Qualifications

  • Business Degree preferred
  • Workday experience required
  • 10+ years’ experience project managing an HCM system implementation for large, more complex organizations (prefer a cloud-based HCM solution)
  • Previous experience as an internal consultant and/or experience with an enterprise software company a plus.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Passion for customer service.

Potential for light travel – 10%
